A Fall Refresh - Cozy Without the Cobwebs

October finally showed up, and I’m ready to lean into all the cozy things.

I’m not the “skeletons on the porch” type. It’s just not my vibe ; but I’ll happily scatter glass or porcelain pumpkins in every color I can find. A few acorns in a basket, a couple of hay bales on the porch, fresh mums by the door, and a candle that smells like crisp air and caramel apples? Yes, please.

What I love about this time of year is that you don’t have to do a full-blown décor swap. A few small touches can make your whole space feel warm and seasonal without turning your living room into a haunted house.

The Low-Stress Approach

Here’s my rule for fall décor: Make it easy.

You can absolutely go on a HomeGoods run and have fun digging through the aisles. But if life’s busy and you’d rather skip the scramble (the lines are already long), just click add to cart and let it show up at your door. Less stress, more cozy — and you still get to be creative with how you style it.

Things I’m Loving for a Fall Refresh

(Click the links to shop or screenshot for later — all from my Amazon cart.)

- 1. Glass & Porcelain Pumpkins

• 2-Piece White & Gold Pumpkins — so simple and chic.

• 2-Piece White + Dripping Gold Pumpkins — a little more glam without being over-the-top.

• Unique Pumpkin Find — because I can’t resist a statement piece.

2. Acorns & Cute Jar Finds

• Glass Pumpkin Candy Jar — perfect for the entryway or filled with treats.

• Cute Pumpkin-Top Jars — I’m snagging the trees one for Christmas too.

3. Porch Staples

I’m also a big wreath-switcher. A good wreath is like a welcome mat for your whole house. I love changing them with the seasons, it’s such a small thing but it sets the mood before you even step inside.

• Fall Wreath — brightens up the front door.

• Pair it with hay bales, mums, and lanterns (easy curb-appeal upgrade).

4. Fall Candles & Scents

Candles are so personal what smells dreamy to me might be too sweet for someone else. I always say start with something classic like vanilla or a soft cinnamon blend and then branch out if you love stronger scents. I know my husband loves a good linen and I want the house to smell like the season.

• Vanilla Candle — cozy and classic.

• Cinnamon Vanilla Candle — warm and welcoming.

• Fall Sunset Candle — soft, slightly woodsy.

5. Little Touches for Inside

I love these pillar candle holders because I can swap the candle colors with the season. Burnt orange for fall. Deep red for Christmas. Soft cream or blush for spring. It’s the easiest way to refresh a corner table without replacing the décor itself.

• Eddie Bauer Flannel Reversible Blanket — it’s the perfect throw for chilly evenings.

• Pillar Candle Holder — Whitewash — rustic and pretty.

• Pillar Candle Holder — Warm Brown — adds depth to a fall vignette.

Why I Love This Approach

You don’t need to overhaul your whole house. A refresh is exactly that, a little update that brings in warmth and a seasonal vibe. Sometimes it really is just the smell of a new vanilla candle and a couple of pumpkins on the table that makes home feel new again.

So whether you’re team “dig through the aisles at HomeGoods” or team “just add to cart and wait for the box to arrive” … you can do fall without the fuss. Snap a pic of your fall refresh or your boxes arriving. I love seeing what everyone picks! We can all use a little inspiration for next year.
